Appointed as Chair of Governors in Septemer 2014 and I have been a Foundation Governor since 2008.

I have been involved in many projects for school including the provision of the outdoor play area for Class One, drainage of the sports field, refurbishment of Class 3 and re-design of the wildlife garden. 

Currently I have one child at school; Phoebe in Yr 5.

 I have been a Foundation Governor since 2005 during which time I’ve served on various School Committees, helped to appoint senior staff and undertaken regular visits to the school for Health and Safety inspections, financial planning and Governor meetings. As a business owner, I like to provide a realistic and pragmatic view to school plans and activities using my business experience.

I am currently Chair of the Resources Committee.

Link Governor for Literacy

I have been a Foundations Governor for over 7 years. I was appointed by the Parochial Church Council to represent the four churches in our Parish. I feel very privileged to be a Foundation Governor and in this position

I follow closely the Christian ethos, fellowship and teaching in the school..

I have recently become the leader of the Go-Green Committee in an effort to win the Green Flag award. I have also undertaken with a fellow Governor the task of restoring the large school clock and reinstalling it at the front of the school. This clock is a War memorial and we aim to have it fully working by 2018 which will be the end of the centenary commemorations of the Great War.

 I am the Trustee representative for Dacre Braithwaite CE Primary School. I am a member of the Estates, Health and Safety and Finance Committees.

I am  a HLTA at Dacre Braithwaite, currently supporting the Class 3 team.

One of my many roles is that of Family Support Worker. I can offer: Practical and emotional support to parents Parenting information (e.g. routines and behaviours) Information about what services are available in the community Help to explore options for adult education and training   Any support given to parents/carers is confidential.

I am self-employed and help to run a mixed hill farm with my husband. I was a PTA Secretary for three years and am currently a member of the Open the Book team who act out Bible stories in local Schools and the Church. I volunteer with Pateley Bridge Cub Scouts which keeps me in touch with the local community and the church. I also assist at special events held by the Church in the Dale and attend church at St Chad's / St Cuthbert's.
