REMOTE EDUCATION

If school cannot open, we provide remote education for the children. This usually takes the form of information sent using our Google Classroom platform.

During the Covid pandemic we found that our remote locality meant that it was often a challenge to teach online lessons exclusively. Instead, we tried to do a mixture of online sessions (so we could 'see' each other and remain in touch) and videos to watch, or other activities which didn't involve the use of technology.

We endeavour to continue the planned learning but we try to be more creative with its delivery.

Children upload their work to the Google classroom for it to be marked by their teachers.

We provide support for families who don't have enough devices to access online learning - please speak to Mrs Dobbs if you feel that this would be helpful.

We expect that parents and carers will support children when completing Remote Learning tasks and deadlines are given when the work is set. (Much like the procedures for homework which we currently use.)
